Meet Dr. Stephen Strzelecki - Above & Beyond @ Work Award Recipient

County Manager Dena R. Diorio made a very special presentation at the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioner's meeting earlier this month for the latest Above and Beyond at Work winner, Dr. Stephen Strzelecki of the Criminal Justice Services team in the Forensic Evaluations Unit.

"Dr. S" is known for going above and beyond in his role as clinical director, demonstrating a passion and desire to improve the quality of services to individuals and families involved in the justice system. A major complication in the delivery of services was the number of people within the jail system who needed capacity restoration to proceed to trial. Dr. Strzelecki assisted in the implementation of a jail-based restoration program for individuals. His efforts have resulted in transformation and enhancements in the delivery of mental health services across the County and beyond.

Congratulations to Dr. Strzelecki for going "above and beyond." Your innovative ideas and work commitment are an inspiration to us all!
